About this winery
Raised by the Alves family, founder of Riberalves Group, AdegaMãe is born as a tribute from the men to the family’s matriarch, Manuela Alves. At the same time, it serves as an inspiration to a place of birth and creation, in which the intention is to enhance the best grapes and to create the finest wines. Product notes
The vineyard is located at Alenquer in Portugal. Slightly sloping vineyard. Atlantic climate and limestone soil.
Production notes
Completely destemmed. Pre-fermentation maceration for 2 days. Fermentation under controlled temperature for 15 days. Post-fermentation maceration period of 10 days. 11 months ageing in used French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Deep red colour. Intense and enticing floral notes, aromas of violet, blackberry, balsamic and a touch of spices, all expertly framed by the barrel the wine aged in. Intense on the palate, showing fine tannic structure and balanced acidity, voluminous, the finish brings on quality fruit.
