About this winery

Bodegas Borsao origins go back to 1958, the year the Cooperative of Borja was founded. Some years later, the co-operatives of Pozuelo and Tabuenca joined Borja, adding their resources and vineyards. In 2001, the new company was called Bodegas Borsao. Experience, resources and means combined with the potential of 375 winegrowers and the vineyards of the 3 wine cellars, enabling the development of a new work philosophy that has given Borsao international recognition and prestige. Production notes

Vineyards of 15 to 30 years old for the Grenache and 10 years for the Syrah, both cultivated on stony, slimy soils with clay and limestone. Maceration for 3-4 days and in total for 12 to 15 days. Separate fermentation of each variety in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22° to 26° C. The wine has been matured in second and third use French oak barrels for 5 months.

Tasting notes

Cherry red, intense and vivid. Has a strong nose where aromas of ripe fruit and spices, with memories of new wood can be distinguished. Structured mouth, with a vivid and tasty step.

Bolé 2017

A fresh, finely textured red with berry, black cherry and some stone and chocolate. Medium-bodied and clean. Fun is a good word. Drink now.
