About this winery
Inama is a family company who has been producing wine for over 50 years. Now, it is the third generation, and their goal is still well-defined: producing unique wines to represent the vision of the land, without getting caught up in the styles and trends of the moment. Product notes
A selection from old, south facing vines, employing pre-used barrels and minimalist winemaking. Vine training system in Pergola Veronese. Between 100 and 200 mt above sea level. East-South-West exposure. Igneous basalt (Volcanic) soils. Age of the vines between 10 and 75 years old. The label features two heads, based on those originally created by the English architect Inigo Jones (1573-1652). This image is so important to Inama that it has become the company’s logo: the expressions on the two faces, which originally had to do with love, here represent the two faces of wine: the sacred, meditative one on the right, and the profane, euphorically inebriated one on the left.
Production notes
On arrival at the winery, the grapes are delicately crushed, and the juice then remains in a short maceration. After a static sedimentation, the must undergoes its alcoholic fermentation, 30% in stainless steel, 30% in big barrel and 40% in French oak barriques (used 3 or 4 times previously), where periodic bâtonnage is carried out for 6 months. Soave Classico D.O.C. with additional Geographical Unit “Foscarino”.
Tasting notes
The nose is complex, mineral, yet deep, with aromas of wildflowers (elderflower, iris, and chamomile). On the palate it is rich, complex, and multi-layered, with an almondy aftertaste. With time, these notes transform into even more complex sensations.
