The Guignard family is an historic family in the Graves region. Since 1996, the 3 Guignard brothers, Pascal, Dominique et Bruno took over the destiny of Guignard Vineyards. Located in the south of the Graves Appellation, on a geological terrace called Léognan, the Guignard Vineyards benefit from an exceptional terroir, resulting from a long and complex history, closely linked to the birth of the Garonne River, the modifications of its route and the successive glacial episodes of the Quaternary era. A true geological lace, it is made up, as its name indicates, of pebbles, pebbles, more or less large gravel, sand mixed with silt and clay, resting in places on limestone but generally on pure sand, alios or clays. These poor, highly permeable soils and the slopes favoring water flow ensure optimum regulation of the water supply to the vines. Forever concerned about environmental issues, Vignobles Guignard has always worked to preserve the natural environment in which they live. By involving in Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) process, they are part of a responsible agriculture.
