Production notes

The vines are trained in the vaso system and undergo vigorous Canopy management and green harvest during the maturation process. Vinification process begins in the vineyard where only the most perfectly mature bunches are selected and harvested into small boxes to prevent crushing. And taken to triage tables at the winery. The selected grapes are placed into small stainless-steel tanks. The must is basket pressed. The wine was aged in new French and American oak barrels (16 months).

Tasting notes

Deep red colour, scarlet rim. Cedar vanillin top notes are followed by aromas of black fruits and a hint of molasses. Initial impressions of rich, sweet fruit juxtaposed with gun-flint mineral, bright acidity and soft tannins.

October 2021 (Vintage 2018)

Veraton 2018

A 100% garnacha with aromas of dark cherries, plums, raisins, sweet spices and cigar box. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins. Rich, ripe and velvety with a flavorful, spicy finish. Drink now or hold.

December 2020 (Vintage 2017)

Veraton 2017

Rich and velvety, this ripe red delivers plum pudding, cherry preserves, cocoa and toasty flavors in a generous, fruit-centered style. It's abundant in everything--fruit, oak and alcohol--but stays balanced. Drink now through 2023. 7,300 cases made, 3,800 cases imported. — TM
