Product notes

Garnacha vineyards are between 15-25 years old at an elevation of 550 meters, cultivated and enhanced by the Cierzo wind on the swept slopes of the Moncayo Mountain. Traditional bush planted formation. Mainly ferrous clay and slates soils, with high stony quartz and sandstones. Tempranillo vineyards are 25-35 years old, located at an elevation of 550 meters above sea level. Soil composition is mainly red clay with two variations depending on the location; one area contains iron providing deep color to the wines and the other area is calcareous providing acidity and freshness to the wines.

Production notes

Manual harvest. Both varieties are elaborated separately using the "Blanc de noirs" method. The grapes are chilled overnight and, after a gentle and short pressing without destemming, a very low color must is obtained, avoiding contact with the skins. After racking the must, fermentation begins at a controlled temperature of between 14°-18°C. 10% of this must ferments in French oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged on its own lees for 6 months with periodic bâtonnage.

Tasting notes

Baramblanc has a light-yellow luster color with silvery hints, typical of this special elaboration. The nose presents intense citrus aromas of lemon and lime coupled with the acidity of red fruit. The palate exhibits a bright freshness and intensity, with a savory note and a large volume resulting from the on-the-lees ageing, giving it a developed rich complexity.
