Product notes
Clay-limestone and sandy soils and oceanic climate. 2022 started with frost. Summer was extremely hot and dry. The harvest took place during fine weather giving the wine a perfect balance between acidity and fruit, a phenomenon not seen for many decades.
Production notes
After selection in the vineyard and sorting in the cellar, the musts were fermented in stainless steel tanks with a three-week maceration. The blended Merlot and Malbec were then placed in natural concrete tanks for 14 months. Two rackings allowed for the removal of lees and the addition of oxygen, softening the tannins. The Malbec underwent a brief period of aging in oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Intense purple color with violet highlights. The nose is rich in aromas of black fruits; fresh plum combined with spices. The attack on the palate is generous, evolving into a sweet tannic structure. The finish is long and rich. Aging potential of 7 years under good conditions.
