About this winery

Raised by the Alves family, founder of Riberalves Group, AdegaMãe is born as a tribute from the men to the family’s matriarch, Manuela Alves. At the same time, it serves as an inspiration to a place of birth and creation, in which the intention is to enhance the best grapes and to create the finest wines. Product notes

The term Palhete (or palheto) refers to a traditional Portuguese wine characterized by its very pale red color. It is a light and fresh wine, often made from a co-fermentation of red and white grapes, similar in style to Bordeaux clairet or dark rosé wines.

Production notes

Co-Fermentation of Castelão, Pinot Noir and Fernão Pires grape varieties for 5 days, followed by pressing and final fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature.

Tasting notes

Bright red to the eye (as expected with Palhete), young and lively. Its youth and aromatic cleanliness stand out, framed with floral notes and young and fresh red fruit. There is harmony in its simplicity. This is a dry, smooth and light-bodied wine with fresh acidity.
