Domaine de l'Épinay, a former Spanish property from the 16th century, is located to the south-east of the Nantais Vineyard, in the town of Clisson. The Paquereau family has operated the Domaine since the early 1900s and following the installation of Albert and his wife Odile in 1973, the Domaine gradually moved towards the cultivation of vines which became its sole activity at the beginning of the 80s. Involved in the Estate since their early childhood, naturally their children, Cyrille and Sylvain took over in 2000 and 2006 respectively. Convinced of the need to pay attention to the development of the vine for qualitative and environmentally friendly production, they became involved very early in Terra Vitis and naturally moved towards organic viticulture in 2011. The Estate now has 55 hectares, almost half of which is planted with Melon de Bourgogne, the historic Muscadet grape variety. The rest of the grape varieties are very diverse: the 14 varieties of grapes grown produce no less than 26 different cuvées, each more surprising than the last, combining tradition and modernity. This work of diversification is accompanied by a real commitment to recognize the nobility of Muscadet, in particular through the process of recognition of Cru Clisson. For the family, it is now a real source of pride to be able to discover the richness of their terroir.
