Bodegas Alto Moncayo is a winery located in the area covered by the Campo de Borja Denominación de Origen (DO, wine quality standard). It was founded in 2002 with the aim of turning it into a world reference for Garnacha wines of the highest quality, prepared from native vine clones.

Syrah : coming from vineyards between 10 - 15 years old, cultivated in trained system, located on terrace floors of Huecha valley, stony with caillous, ventilated and with good drainage, which has irrigation support. Garnacha : from vineyards between 15 - 25 years old, cultivated on the slopes of the Moncayo, bush planted formation as traditionally and in dry land, the soils are mainly ferrous clay and slate, with high stony quartz and sandstone. The two varieties are made separately in small stainless-steel tanks. The Garnacha is in open tanks with a cold prefermentation for two days and then an alcoholic fermentation between 25-30°C. The Syrah in traditional tanks, with a long fermentation and low temperature between 20-22°C.
Wine of intense purple color of very high layer. Wine with a great aromatic intensity of ripe black fruits, blackberries, prunes, black licorice and very spicy. Powerful mouth with a great creamy and round sweet tannin, with a long and silky finish.
