About this winery
The history of Marchesi Mazzei is the story of Tuscany, uniting the family and famous region since the 11th century. The winery’s roots in the territory span over 600 years and continue to expand through wineries and vineyards, including Castello di Fonterutoli in the heart of Chianti Classico, Belgvardo in Maremma (Tuscany) and Zisola in Noto (Sicily). Product notes
Azisa, the word that gives rise to the name Zisola, also means beautiful. The winery is in Noto in the province of Siracusa. Vineyards are located at 130 metres above sea level, South/East exposure. Soil is calcareous and mineral, and the vines are trained head-pruned bush.
Production notes
Hand picked harvest. Fermentation at low temperature (15°C) in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes
Aromatic, fresh, flower and citrus notes, pleasantly dry and mineral.
