The history of Marchesi Mazzei is the story of Tuscany, uniting the family and famous region since the 11th century. Product notes
Made with Cabernet Sauvignon and a small percentage of Cabernet Franc grapes, this powerful and elegant wine is the most important "Cru" of the Estate, a pure expression of the Maremma terroir.
Production notes
Hand picked harvest. Fermentation temperature (28-30°C). Period of maceration for 16 days. Ageing for 18 months in small French oak barrels (225 litres/70% new). Finissage for 4 months in concrete tanks.
Tasting notes
Full and seductive body, dark spice flavors, enveloping and long taste. Serve with aged cold cuts, steaks, mildly spicy foods, middle aged cheeses.
