About this winery
The history of Marchesi Mazzei is the story of Tuscany, uniting the family and famous region since the 11th century. The winery’s roots in the territory span over 600 years and continue to expand through wineries and vineyards, including Castello di Fonterutoli in the heart of Chianti Classico, Belgvardo in Maremma (Tuscany) and Zisola in Noto (Sicily). Product notes
Zisola is made from traditional Alberello (bushy vines) grown near Noto, a unique area to make wine. The proximity of the sea and the soil rich in limestone allow to best balance the natural Nero d'Avola exuberance, with a great freshness and elegance.
Production notes
Hand picked harvest. Fermentation temperature: 26-28° C. Period of maceration: 14-16 days. Ageing in small French oak barrels (225 lt / 33% new) for 10 months.

Well built, forest fruits and sunny orange peel flavors, long and layered taste.
