Product notes
Entirely from our Heysen Estate Vineyard, this wine is a blend of all three clones of our Shiraz- Kalimna 3C, 1654 and BVRC30. Deep loam over clay, with outcrops of quartz stone and ironstone.
Production notes
Harvested as separate clones and fermented wild in old concrete fermenters. Foot stomped and basket pressed, then stored in a 3000L French Oak Foudre for 18 months. Bottled with no fining.
Tasting notes
Our take on the classic Barossa Shiraz, this wine has a inky purple colour with a deep red hue. Aromas of dark plum, coffee and black pepper. The palate is rich and voluptuous, with the classic blue fruits and smooth silky tannins. This wine has great capacity to age and will continue to soften and develop more secondary fruit characters.
