Product notes

Oceanic climate. Clay-limestone soils. The 2023 growing season was rainy until the end of July. Controlling downy mildew was crucial during this period. The cool nights of summer, combined with the heat of August and September, had a positive effect on the ripening of the Merlots, allowing for exception accumulation of red fruit aromas.

Production notes

The freshly harvested grapes are crushed and yeasted quickly to use the indigenous yeasts of the vineyard. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is cooled to 18°C for the malolactic process, then to 15°C to control the microorganisms. It is aged in stainless steel vats and amphorae. After 7months of aging, the wine is bottled. The wine is fined with pea proteins, then tightly filtered to ensure perfect stability.

Tasting notes

Scents of black cherry, raspberry, and cornflower, with a delicate vegetal note and a good tannic structure.
