Man Vintners Family Wines was named after the three founders’ wives; Marie, Annette & Nicky. As young winemakers back in 2001, Tyrrel Myburgh, Philip Myburgh (Joostenberg Wines family winery) and Jose Conde (Stark-Condé Wines) weren’t looking for rockstar bottles that cost a fortune. But had pretty high standards and wanted wines that could be enjoyed with friends, most of whom were also in the wine industry. They were wine geeks in need of an everyday wine. Starting in 2001 with 300 cases made in a tractor shed, today MAN produces over 250,000 cases and exports to more than 45 countries. All bottling, labelling & production is done on-site at Lievland Vineyards cellar.
