About this winery

The story begins at Château Paul Mas in Conas hamlet, in the splendid town of Pézenas, the city of famous playwright Molière. The estates then expanded to Montagnac, with Nicole vineyard and Mas des Tannes. Jean-Claude Mas’s great-grandfather, Auguste Mas, bought the first family vineyard in 1892, when he aquired 9 ha (22 acres) of vines in the Mas de Bicq, near the village of St Pons de Mauschiens. In 1934, Raymond Mas brings the family vineyard to a surface of 15 ha in Domaine Montredon...

Food and wine pairing : serve at 12°C with sushi, seafood, salads, fresh goat cheese. Garde : 5 years in good conditions.

Production notes

Careful selection of the best grapes after a mechanical night harvest to avoid oxidation and preserve the maximum expression of the fruit. Destemming of the grapes, crushing and soft pressing (pneumatic press). Racking at 10 ° C to clarify the wine. Fermentation at 16 ° C with selected yeasts for 2 weeks. Aging on lees for 2 months before bottling.

Tasting notes

Color: pale lemon yellow with green highlights. Nose: aromatic with notes of lemon combined with redcurrant, grapefruit and a touch of fresh cut grass. Palate: well balanced with a nice freshness and notes of exotic fruits.
